WCHS Academic Team Seniors and team won District Governor's Cup while John Rains advanced to state competition Second graders in Heather Lewis' class acquire a phonics foundation through Reading Horizons program. ATC student Drew Buswell presented a digital presentation to his Carpentry Class. Each of the students were graded on their oral presentation, content, use of graphics, text formatting, and spelling by Instructor Josh Parmley. ATC Principal John Kinnett and Welding Instructor Alan Bell chatted with Dr. Carey Castle, Somerset KCTCS President, who was one of the guests touring the new ATC facility at the 50th Anniversary Special Event. Amy Young was happy for her daughter Willow to attend Kindergarten! MackiLee Worley was excited to decorate the spot she will be parking her car in during her senior year. With school ending for the summer on May 27th, it wasn’t just the last day for classes. It was the first day to begin a new adventure for Wayne County High School JROTC Cadets Summer Canseco, Tiffany Damian, Elijah Kidwell, Robert Bob Lewis, Amelia Ramsey, Amber Russell, Deborah Sexton and Roscoe Steiber who were traveling to Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, KY, as advanced party to begin five days of Junior Cadet Leadership Camp (JCLC).
